Urologic oncology at Proctocare
Our goal is to prevent urological cancers through regular prevention and to catch developing disease as early as possible, when the chances of successful treatment are highest. Directly at our office in Bratislava we perform complete diagnostics – ultrasound, a blood draw and testing of PSA and other markers, cystoscopy and biopsies.
If cancer is confirmed, we are honest about what we do and what belongs in a hospital: tumour surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy are provided by specialised centres. Our role is diagnostics, treatment management, follow-up care (long-term monitoring), a second opinion and directing you to the right centre – MUDr. Rybár also practices at Bory Hospital, so we prepare you and hand you over into the right hands. As part of the urologic oncology consultation, we also comprehensively review your existing findings, including CT or MRI scans, within 30 minutes.
Cancer diagnoses we deal with
Detailed information on each diagnosis can be found on its own page
Prostate cancer
The most common cancer in men. Early detection through PSA and fusion biopsy significantly increases the chance of a cure.
Bladder cancer
The most common warning sign is blood in the urine. We provide diagnostics with cystoscopy and biopsy at our office.
Kidney cancer
Often discovered by chance during an ultrasound. A regular preventive checkup with ultrasound helps with early detection.
Testicular cancer
Mainly affects younger men. Any lump or change in a testicle should be examined as soon as possible.
Penile cancer
A rare disease in which early examination of any non-healing change on the penis is decisive.
